Every Asteria piece is carefully crafted with attention to quality, durability, and craftsmanship. We stand behind the workmanship of our jewellery through the Asteria Craftsmanship Warranty.
If your jewellery develops an issue, our team will inspect the piece to determine the cause. If the issue is determined to be a genuine defect in materials or craftsmanship, Asteria will, where appropriate, repair or replace the affected jewellery or component, subject to this warranty and applicable Indian law.
What Isn't Covered
Fine jewellery is designed to be worn and enjoyed, but it is not indestructible. Precious metals, settings, and gemstones can be affected by everyday wear, accidental impact, improper handling, and exposure to chemicals over time.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Routine maintenance or cosmetic services, including polishing, refinishing, rhodium plating, prong tightening, or resizing.
- Scratches, dents, or surface marks resulting from everyday use.
- Damage caused by hitting, dropping, catching, bending, or other accidental impact.
- Bent, worn, loose, or broken prongs resulting from wear or impact.
- Loose or lost stones resulting from accidental damage, impact, worn settings, or improper care.
- Cracked, broken, bent, or misshapen settings caused by accidental impact.
- Damage caused by exposure to harsh chemicals or improper care.
- Loss or theft of jewellery or gemstones.
- Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or improper handling.
- Repairs, resizing, alterations, or modifications performed by an unauthorised third party.
- Replacement of a lost or damaged centre stone where the issue is not determined to be a manufacturing defect.
If Your Jewellery Needs Repair
If you believe your jewellery has experienced a craftsmanship or manufacturing issue, please contact Asteria before sending the jewellery for repair or having it repaired elsewhere.
Our team may request photographs, videos, order details, and other information before arranging an inspection.
Once the jewellery has been inspected, we will determine whether the issue is covered. If covered, Asteria will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair or replacement of the affected component, subject to availability and applicable law.
If the issue is not covered, we will provide a repair estimate, including applicable labour and material costs, before proceeding.
Resizing
Because Asteria jewellery is made to order, we strongly recommend that customers carefully confirm their ring size before production begins.
Where resizing is technically possible, it may be offered for an additional fee. The ability to resize a ring depends on its design and construction. Certain designs, including some full eternity bands, heavily engraved rings, and specially constructed or modified shanks, may have limitations or may not be suitable for resizing.
Asteria does not guarantee that every ring can be resized. Each request will be assessed individually and applicable charges will be communicated before work begins.
Third-Party Repairs & Alterations
We strongly recommend contacting Asteria before having your jewellery repaired, resized, altered, or modified by another jeweller. Asteria is not responsible for damage resulting from unauthorised repairs, alterations, resizing, modifications, or servicing, and such work may affect applicable warranty coverage.
Jewellery Care
- Remove jewellery before exercising, swimming, bathing, or activities that may expose it to impact or chemicals.
- Avoid perfumes, cosmetics, household chemicals, chlorine, and other harsh substances.
- Store jewellery separately when not being worn.
- Take extra care with rings and other frequently worn pieces.
- Have settings and stones checked periodically, particularly for jewellery worn daily.
- Follow Asteria's Jewellery Care Guide.
Shipping for Repairs
If jewellery needs to be sent to Asteria for inspection or repair, we will provide instructions for shipping it safely. Unless otherwise agreed by Asteria or required under applicable law, the Customer may be responsible for shipping and insurance costs associated with sending jewellery to and receiving it from Asteria.
Warranty Eligibility
The Asteria Craftsmanship Warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless Asteria expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Proof of purchase may be required.
Important Information
This warranty is intended to cover genuine defects in workmanship and materials. It is not an insurance policy and does not provide coverage for loss, theft, accidental damage, or general wear and tear. We recommend appropriate jewellery insurance for risks not covered by this warranty.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict, or limit any rights or remedies available to a Customer under applicable Indian law. Where applicable law provides greater rights or remedies, those rights continue to apply.
